It's so unique and weird but I really want one. Anyone else?

I kinda want one. Looks like a pocket cleaver of sorts. Reminds me of the Spyderco Junior being a pocket chef knife almost.

Maybe they are dropping the Junior and picking up the Roc to continue their "pocket kitchen knife" line?
Either way if the price is right, I might have to try it out just to see.

Too bad the could only fit 2.75" of cutting edge in that 4.7" handle. Should allow for good grip in the kitchen tho.

That is really weird. I haven't seen anything like that before, wouldn't be my cup of tea. But I would like to know what you think of it after/if you pick one up

I might not pick one up, but I do like the look quite a lot. Can't wait to hear from people once they get them.

I hate the fact that it's bead blasted but that will be easily remedied with some buffing compound. I would have been nice if they went with a satin though.

I like the design because many of my edc chores happen in the kitchen. I'm in for one for sure!

Or stonewashed

Interesting. Looks to carry horribly though. If the blade was dropped from above and in front of the spyder logo and makers mark on the back to the end of the blade where the grind starts it would be much more enticing to me and my pocket as well.
I like the Hungarian folder the most of the new lineup.

I'm not feeling it. Getting the cleaver/razor vibe but I'm not seeing the point (pun intended). I'll spend my upcoming spydie money elsewhere.

Not for me. The choil area is unusable and sorta scary. A lot like the Leafstorm

I can't wait for this thing. To me it was the most exciting piece in the new catalog. Top of the want list....just hoping its priced will. Can't splurge too much $$$ on that sort of knife.

The handle looks nearly like Lum Chinese Folder. But the blade is different and not in the good way: I agree with benchwarmer380 about carrying - that corner on the blade looks a bit conspicuous.

I agree on price. I don't want to spend much on something I want mainly out of curiosity. I won't pick on up if my wallet and I can't come to an agreement on how much we really need the knife.

Maybe I can get one in a trade after they are out for a month or so.

interesting but I would have preferred the release of the Spydechef colab with Marcin Slysz for Spyderco folding chef duties:

I'll be getting one if the price is reasonable. It looks to take up a lot of space in the pocket, but the pivot end is narrow enough that it should slide in easily.
I agree about the finger groove looking awkward and dangerous, but since it's a prototype I'm hoping they change that to be usable and comfortable. No jimping please. :-)

Funny, the LeafStorm is one of my favorites and the Roc interests me as well. I have a few traditional slip joint razor folders from the 70's as well so I suppose some are more inclined to this style than others.
