Roc

I doubt it would replace the Resilience as my folding camp chef knife but I like the look of it. I think it's a nice addition to the catalog.

In all honesty this is one of the new few Spyders that I'm interested in. Probably will end up purchasing one and rehandling in it some wood of sorts. I'm thinking ironwood burl?

I'll probably get one just to check it out. I'm not sure I'll like it though.

This knife will look amazing with wood handles I'm betting.

It's a lot bigger than i originally pictured in my mind. 4.69" (119mm) closed, 7.76" (197mm) open and 4.2 oz (119g). These are similar measurements to the Southard, Tenacious, and Yo2 - but in a completely different package...

Time will tell!

It is a neat idea, but I do not see myself getting one. It would be a great kitchen tool, but unlike many members I like dedicated kitchen knives for the most part. Who knows maybe I will change my mind when I pick one up next year.

I don't think this was designed to be a folding kitchen knife, but rather an edc knife with an interesting cleaver inspired blade shape. I know that's how I plan to use it.

As I undersand it, a cleaver is a fairly large and heavy blade designed for chopping. That's not what the roc is trying to be.

Nor is that what I was referring to. I was 'seconding' the comment made earlier in regards to an actual chef's knife. But I think the ROC is pretty sweet nonetheless. I'll be picking one up.

So I couldn't wait....and had to pickup the closest thing I could find. I will sell this one as soon as the ROC is available...but for now...I'll play with this guy.

Breeden Rescue. G-10 VG-10.

This thing has the smoothest pivot I've ever used. Feel great in the hand. The only negative (and I've only had this thing for a few hours) is that the liner is a little sharp and will annoy the thumb when you play with a knife as frequent as I do when I'm sitting at the office.

I can't wait for the ROC!
