So I new to getting quility knives.I just got a fox river and love it but I want something smaller.for everyday carry.any good ideas?

ESEE Izula or Izula II, Becker BK11 or BK14, Bark River Little Creek, PSK, Bravo Necker or any number of small blades from Bark River.

You can't go wrong with any of the knives listed here. I own the Izula, BK11, Little Creek, PSK and Bravo Necker. I carry the Little Creek the most.

How much are you looking to spend? For 100 and under you could probably pick up a custom here on the forum. I echo the ESEE Izula and Becker 11 or 14 for a nice little knife.

I wouldn't mind spend a few bucks in a skeletonized custom fixed blade. I would like something between an Izula and a Subcom fixed (kind of a lightweight Shivwork's Clinch Pick). Any suggestions?

When I EDC a fixed blade, I carry it as a neck knife. That said, the Fallkniven WM1 sheath allows for both neck and belt carry.

If the Scrapyard Scrapivore is still available it gets my vote. Lightweight, tough, four finger grip and a pry tool on the end of it.

dollar for dollar i find the becker/esee bk14, the best bang for the buck. the only downside of it is the sheath is not good. it lets the blade rattle around, not very secure, and rather large. too large to use for a neck knife. the izula sheath is far better, imo, but it costs about double.

Double? Are you sure? I can get an Izula for $49.95 and the BK14 for $39.95.

BK11 is a super knife, looked at a buddies this week and heard how well it held up I ordered one this morning

I totally love my Izula, it's my EDC, whether in urban settings or otherwise. I bought a pair of TKC g10 scales for it ( doubles the cost of the knife, but totally worth it ) and now I just don't like to not have it with me. I didn't think that I would even like it that much when I got it but figured I would be able to resell it for close to what I paid. In the end it totally surprised me... Aesthetically it's not too impressive, but just wait 'til you get it in hand and use it.

If you like the Fox River, take a look at the Bark River Woodland or the Mini Fox River. The Blackjack Necker might be worth a look too.

Blind Horse Knives out of Ohio makes several smaller fixed blades. I have one of their Patch Knives in Brazilian cherry and carbon steel (I forget which one) that I carry regularly. Just google for their page.

I would recommend the Izula, Izzy 2..... Bk11....Bk14....I own them all and rotate which one I carry each day. You can't go wrong with this bunch

The great thing about the ESEE and Becker knives listed is that they are inexpensive, get NASTY sharp, and are tough as nails. My little Izula II is one of the pieces I would use if my life depended on my knife.

A little bonus with the ESEE knives... You break it, they replace it. No questions asked.

Becker's warranty is also pretty bullet proof, but they may not be quite as lenient as ESEE. If you break it with normal use they will surely replace it though.

Agree with either Izula or Becker Neckers, for the cost they're just plain hard to beat. Having said that, stepping it up a notch, I'd go with a Bark River Bravo Necker in 3V and/or, the soon to be released Bravo II in 3V. Even the older Bravo models in 12C27 are not bad, and stainless too.

Then on the higher end, check out Murray Carter neck knives in Hitachi "White" and "Super Blue" steel laminated between SS. Hand forged and awesome!

You cant go wrong with any (or all!!!) of the above. I have the izula but carry more often my micro canadian. Also love the mini. boyh are better imo for pocket carry in a knf pocket sheath.

Try the BRKT mini fox river. They also just shipped a new run of the little creeks if your interested in a 3 finger knife. I keep looking at the LC, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
