Rock of Sages or How Spyderco Blew My Mind

My Sage 1 is probably the best constructed knife I own. Perfect centering, scales are perfect, lockup is perfect, detent has the perfect amount of resistance, flicks open with ease, grind is perfect, even the screws in the scales are perfectly centered. I've tried to find a flaw in its construction and can't. Can't say that about any other knife I've owned. My Spydercos have been the best out of the box, but I can always find something, no matter how tiny. Not with the Sage.

Thanks for sharing the great pics! Not only do the Sage knife series look great I love how it pays tribute to the different innovators in the industry.

This wasn't done by myself but I purchased it and had it for a few months before passing it on. The blade, lock side ti slab, and clip were stone washed. The blade and clip were also acid etched. The CF scale was taken off of a Sage 1. The lock was carbonized (sp?). The screws and ti slab was then anodized a dark bronze.

Could you share who did it and how much it cost? PM me if you want.
