Wow! Nice score! I love the well-used look. I've been hunting one of these for almost a year, with no such luck. Did you find it here on the exchange?
 
Yup got it on the Exchange a few days ago. It def was a great score, and like I said, been looking for one for awhile too!!
 
Don't let it out of your hands! Use it and enjoy it… Don't sweat the small stuff… It looks in the lockup photo as if there is a large gap on the lock bar side.Is there a possibility that the washer is pinched?, Bart
 
Good choice and glad you liked it, even though if you were not pleased I gladly would of taken it off your hands.

I don't think anything is pinched. I've take the knife apart already and everything looks A-okay!!

This whole smooth bead blast vs. aggressive bead blast thing got me wonderin.. anyone else know anything about the tendencies of CRK to do different finishes?
 
That's a prime piece right there, my favorite large regulars have the grooves around the outside if the handle like yours, and the one I picked up not too long ago- great knives.

If you plan to use and love it I'd suggest just letting it be and keep the spa trip in the far distant future if at all. One of my favorite knives is a large Insingo that I traded a small reg for that had a ton of bad marks on it, it's my edc and it's been so marked up that I can't find the marks it came with- kinda nice not having to worry about that "first scratch". Do what makes you happy of course but if it's a user it'll just make it harder to use when it's mint.
They'll send you back the original washers and bushing if you have new ones put in, don't worry about that. What you won't get is new old stock hardware, you'll get the new stuff, thumb stud as well. That'd take away from resale for me, don't want a dimpled stud on my regular.

Congrats, you have a very sought after knife.

I would hate to wait 6-8 weeks for a piece of paper. You can get married quicker than that!! :)

When I called to ask them about getting a card update for one of my CRKs they told me it would only take 1 week, 2 at most. So you may want to call in and ask how long as 6-8 weeks seems to be reserved for them spa treatments, haha.
 
That's good news!! Someone told me their back log was first come first serve kinda thing.. so yah, I'll def call and check it out. Thanks!
