Rockstead Comparison Pics Favor!

Hey guys! So I'm set on buying either a Rockstead Higo or a Rockstead Hizen. I've owned a Rockstead Shin before and although it was an astoundingly fantastic knife, it was just a little too heavy and thick in the pocket for me, and not being able to take it apart was a major factor in my decision to sell it, but the quality and styling of the knife has lead me to try out another from the company. I just can't get a good grasp on how large these two folders are. I would hugely appreciate if someone that owns one or the other or both to take some comparison pics with some other knives. I have and carry both an Umnumzaan and a Spyderco Techno so those would be ideal for a comparison pic. A PM2 would also give me a good idea as I have owned one of those in the past. I'm sure the Hizen would be an easier EDC but the longer blade on the higo would be nice for certain applications. (I also have to decide which steel to choose from, leaning towards the yxr7 with dlc coating). Big thanks for any help or suggestion in advance!

EDIT: Also, would love to hear any first hand experience you guys that own or have owned one of these have had. Thanks!

Here ya go :)

It's pretty much the exact same size as the umnumzaan. In the picture, the Higo's closer, so it might look bigger. It's very slim and light, so I think it carries really well.

Thanks man! It does look larger than the Umnum with it in the bottom like that, but I figured that was just an illusion. I'm glad to hear it's the same size as the Umnum though! I feel like that's the perfect carry size, and with it being as thin and light as it is I'm sure it's a comfortable carry. I do like the proportions on the Higo vs the Hizen also but the Hizens gring seems like it would be easier to sharpen if I decided not to send it into Rockstead and try it myself. What made you go with the yxr7 over the zdp189? Have you done any extensive cutting with it or is it more of a safe queen? Interested to hear your thoughts. Thanks again!

I saw this thread this morning and forgot to reply...

Anyways, here's a couple pics in hand.

Also, here's a recent thread that discusses Rockstead in detail (somewhat). I wouldn't recommend sharpening these like any other knife, they can be a bit challenging to sharpen. However, if you understand edge geometry pretty well, and also understand what Rockstead is doing with their grinds, you'll be fine.

Thank you Blues Bender! I was actually gonna send you a pm soon because i've read you're quite the Rockstead guy! That thread was incredibly informative, thanks for linking it. Your method of sharpening seems much less intimidating than I thought which is comforting. I'm amazed how the finish looks on yours after work on a construction site!

It looks to actuallly be a tiny bit smaller than the Umnumzaan? Is there a reason you opted for the Higo over the Hizen? (I'm guessing for that gorgeous handle haha). I was set on the Hizen but thanks to your pics I think I'll opt for the Higo in yrx7! Although I like smaller knives the Hizen just seems a tad too small, and I love how my Zaan carries in the pocket.

I have neither a Sebenza nor a Rockstead. For guys that own both which is more satisfying to play with in the hand and carry?
