Bought new by me 4 months ago from KnifeCenter. I've carried it several times and there are a few small "scuffs" in the matt finish....not scratches..very superficial.
I've used it to cut a few simple items, just to feel the ease it cuts. I'm not talking about anything as hard as wood. I opened a few cardboard boxes and sliced some stuff in the kitchen with it. The blade is as it should be.
