Rockstead?

I’ve read here that Rockstead searches these forums and makes note of members serial numbers on their knives and will deny warranty claims if the knives were bought secondary market. These cost way too much for that kinda nonsense.

They make their warranty policy very clear, whether people agree with it or not.

I'd like to think the people who get bent out of shape over it are people who don't do the research first and have expectations that suit their needs.

They are fairly expensive but should be of very good quality. It was a forum member here - Blues Bender, who used to post bunch
of pictures of his Rockstead, used in work, the mirror finish usually retain its integrity, as other mentioned - due to the higher hardness
of the ZDP steel. If you can afford it, go for it, IMO - they are beautiful knives.

I actually ended up with Blues Bender’s Rockstead. Very very minor light scratches only seen at the right light on a black high polished blade. I know he used it at work while in construction, so I was very much surprised at the very great condition of it.

It has since found a new home.
I disagree with their warranty.

I know it sucks and should be illegal to deny warranty for buying on the secondary market. But it's not. I bought mine from a dealer and registered it because the warranty was important enough, and I never plan to sell it. I'd rather sell 15 $100 knives than my Higo II if I needed the money.
