Hello,

I recently picked up my first "real" collectible knife. It is a hunting leopard combat bowie by Rod Chappel and is also engraved "60th anniversay D-Day commemorative. I am curious on information about the maker, current value on the resale market, etc. I was essentially just drawn to it's beauty and balance in my hand, along with the perfect mirror finish on the blade.

Any information appreciated!

Don't be like that, McD....rules are rules. But, still you have a Chappel, and there are a few of us who hang around here and love Chappel's work. If you get an opportunity, please post a pic.

We have those rules so that the whole forum is not just people asking what the knife is worth. If you actually want to get an idea of what the knife is worth, try using Google. I was able to find prices for a number of Rod Chappel knives in about 30 seconds. This site is for enjoying knives, not appraising them.

I bought a knife marked Davis Knives Spokane, Washington. From what I can find this is Rod Chappel. I'm trying to find out if this is still an active business. I would really like some background information on this knife.
