Rodent 6 vs Christmas tree

Beautiful line up there elof . I'd like to put some of those through their paces! I'm looking at the smallest ones there.I wish there was something the length of the rat 3 with the slimness of the rodent solution. I always thought if I stepped up to the busse line it would be a bigger knife but the anniversary mean Street might be my best bet for this horizontal edc, if I'm going to keep it in the family.

Horizontal carry...

I've carried that way MBC (pic), Game Warden, Swamp Warden.
I'd say that SW with scales would be just perfect for horizontal, it has more blade than GW and MBC and is VERY light. Size difference between R3 and SW is negligible, the only real difference is the weight, R3 is much heavier, FFG should be at least slightly lighter though.

GW is also pretty heavy. I'm plannig to give AD a shot for horizontal once my new one arrives.

That mbc is awesome. I'm most interested in handle real estate, while keeping overall length to a minimum. Some of the barkies like the mini Canadian are more handle and choil.I think the AD is pushing the overall length. From the pics looks like SW might be best.

How did you get blue and black scales? Me likee! :D
Thanks, they look even better in person.
If you email the swamp they can do all kinds of things in the custom shop. There are lots of handle material and color options. I opted for a satin finish, and having the top guard ground off. You can see guys in this thread have different blade shapes too.
Email them, tell Them what you're looking for.... They generally will make it how you like. Of coarse the further from stock you go, the more it costs.

Bleedingfinger, is the R6 a FFG!? Its look like it from your pics. Dang Need a couple more hours of overtime...

Yep lots of options if you email Trissy at the custom shop!! They spoil us rotten.

Black and blue/green/red/tan/orange G10...Heck even different color bone material. You can also get different color handle liners as well.

It's worth the overtime lol. These custom shops really are alot of knife for the money. No questions asked lifetime warranty,so if you buy it to use it hard, You don't have to stress on the investment.
I'm not sure on the grind, they usually come with a utility edge I understand. I asked the shop to put a tighter edge on it(came shaving sharp) . I think I asked for FFG but they said r6 was too thick? Pretty sure it's the standard grind.
