Rodrigo Sfreddo - 4 Integral Persian hunters

even if they knives where not stamped they would be instantly recognizable by his style and excelent workmanship

Truly gifted

Rodrigo makes some of the finest damascus patterns that I have seen.

Great work.

In my native language of Texas, we pay the highest compliment by saying something like...."That sumbitch is gudt in the fare"

He makes me jelous....

I'm not sure I would have called this "persian hunter". Who cares anyway... Rodrigo is a master. I own a Sfreddo hunter with that kind of damascus. All I can say is that even the remarkable photography skills of Dr Darom can't do justice to it. You must see it real to figure out...

Hello Patrick,

You can't imagine how difficult it is to reproduce photographically
such amazing patterns.

Both Eric of PointSeven Studios who shot the original pictures
and myself who set up the page had a difficult subject to
deal with. But what you see here is not what you will get in print.

I know as a fact that in high quality 4 color Process printing
on very good paper pages like this will look amazing!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Hello Guys! Thank you very much for the wonderfull comments about my work, always makes me very proud! Thank you David for posting it here. I've been far from the forums for some time, but I'll post some new pics soon...

All the best, and great 2010 to everyone!

Those are truely impressive, I don't see a mechanicle means of securing the scales, Is there one? Sorry if that is a trade secret

Hello Rodrigo and welcome!

I think that Mark (see above) would like an answer
from the maker..... :)

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

These are beautiful knives! They remind me of several knives Tim Zowada has made over the years. Tim makes integrals with multi-bar damascus and curved sideways tangs. Nice handle shaping, and those patterns. . . Really wonderful work.

David

Too bad I don't have a link to this chute that I traded for (obviously from Murray!), but the pattern of this chute is just magnificent. Sfreddo is a master and I cannot imagine a more beautiful damascus chute knife. I don't tire of seeing this one.

EDIT: I still need Coop to shoot this with my first, one and only Paul Long sheath!

Here is a closer view, of all four Damascus patterns.

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

Hi David,

oh yes I can imagine ! I didn't mean in any way that your picture is not as excellent as they usually are ! My point is that Rodrigo sent me a quite very good photo of my damascus knife before he shipped it. And when I get it... waw...! His turkish twisted damascus features both a dark, shining and deep relief that is just amazing.

And yes, I guess the printed image will be much better.
