• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Rodrigo Sfreddo.....is this thing on?

Rodrigo,

I gave Phil Lobred your e-mail address....he has sent you a couple e-mails, and I sent you an e-mail to alert you that he had not heard from you.

Vacation, sickness or just plain busy.....there are no excuses(unless you are out of the country, in a coma:D) and communication is key.

I'm using BladeForums to give you a heads up....if you don't see this, maybe someone who knows you will.

Check your e-mail and please contact Phil Lobred.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Run, don't walk to the computer, if Phil wants to speak to you. :)

Phil is better at e-mail than talking on the phone...he doesn't hear great.

We have and used that e-mail contact.

Hello Steven. I did'nt received any e-mail from Phil. If somebody here have it, please send me, I'll try to contact him.

Regards,

Rodrigo

I can only hope that this means we might get to see a San-freddo-sisco styled knife one day!

Last thing I wanna see is a damascus SF style knife, LOL

Edit: Oops, sorry, not thread-related

Actually, Bob, I don't think that this is such a bad idea.
A recent day interpretation of a SF designed knife in
Damascus can be very appealing...

Here is one San Francisco Style Dress Bowie by Charles Weiss
with a blade made of Jerry Rados Damascus.
From Phil Lobred's collection, of course... :)

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

I've actually been contemplating and kicking around the design of such a knife. :o ;)

Great looking piece David and it would certainly be different but obviously very nice. However, how did this thread end up with a damascus SF style knife?

No offense intended, Jon

^It started with Lorien's mention of SF a dagger in his post # 8 and worked itself down.
I assume for all practical purposes the thread is dead anyway since Steven got the information he posted for.

I hear you, maybe STeven will go ahead and close it. That said Lorien started a good discussion and a new thread would be a good one.

Jon

In any case, I'll just end my remarks by saying that, after seeing the above damascus SF style knife, I still don't see how one would appeal, at least to me. Just too much going on for my eye, that's all. But I don't close out the possibility.
