Rodrigo Sfreddo MS knives

Incredible. I cannot stop looking at them, especially the bowies. I did not get the opportunity to view these at the show, but I did get a good, long post-show viewing of the dagger. Still stunning. Rodrigo, like others before him, has elevated knife making to an art. His contribution is revolutionary.

Thanks for sharing these photos guys.

I got a look at Sfreddo's five......memorable, awesome work.....
He's raised the bar, without a doubt.

Hello guys! Thank you for the kind words as always! Actually, The person who asked for the dagger, is not who have it now. As Marcel pointed, it was asked 3 years ago, but the person who asked. made it whille speaking with me at the show. I can't remember who asked for it, cince the person never contacted me again, regarding this. I finished the knives right before the trip, so it only was sure to me that I'd be testing on the weekend before the show. I made those pics minutes before I went to the airport, and didn't had the time to e-mail it to my customers or show it here. I just had the time to post that I'd be testing after the cutting test, thuesday. So, I came to the Blade Show with all my knives available, while everyboby thinking they're already gone... As the table I share is in Ricardo Vilar's name, and we are not on the ABS section, people just could'nt find me...
Several mistakes and situations worked together, and I think I failed with some of my customers, who where interested in my test knives, I apologize for that.

All the best!

On Sunday, Rodrigo came over to Tim Hancock's table with three
of his amazing pieces.
Tim Immediately bought one of them and I got to take home
his Integral Coffin-handled Bowie ( Integral from the tip of the blade
all the way including the guard and the "spacers"...).

Tim said that The dagger and the Integral Bowie have extremely
bold and most daring Damascus patterns and I agree completely.

The pictures posted do not show these amazing Damascus pieces
properly. Maybe I shall do something about this with the Bowie....

I also have one of Rodrigo's early knives and shall probably have
the early piece and this amazing Bowie side by side in my next
book "Knife Art", expected to be introduced next year.

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

I have long thought it would be possible to one day make a forged integral D-guard bowie. I think Rodrigo might well be the guy to bring this out soon!

I had chance to talk with Rodrigo at blade and see the knives. And it was real treat to meet him and hold his work.
