Last year, during the Vegas show, I got one TF3 folder form Mr. Roger Dole. Giraffe bone handle, BG42 blade, and the smoothest action I ever experienced in my short custom-knife-buying life
Mr. Dole is a part time maker, so less of his stuff is out there, but his folder is, to date, my smoothest folder.
This knife has become one of my favorite everyday carry. Great blade design, great attention to detail. Basically everything you want to have on a custom folder.
BUT, It was locking the liner in a less-than-perfect way. I dont mean it was failing, but the blade to liner relation was not JUST perfect as I like it
So after hesitating for almost a year I emailed Mr. Dole and asked for his opinion.
His quick and decisive response was: send it over I will fix it - make it perfect and ship it back to you at no cost whatsoever
Now we are talking about a knife that was bought a year ago and was used almost daily so I asked again no need to cover shipping back? Work? Parts? Absolutely no said Mr. Dole, you are a customer and you need to be happy with my knife
The knife was repaired and shipped back in record time.
The kind and gentle way in which all this was done, has earned Mr. Dole the Best service giving knife maker of the year in my personal book.
