He's been a great guy to deal with and i was finally able to return the favor, I order a few knives last week and my ordered showed up on wednesday. I opened the box and began counting items order was for 2 pink izula an izula II w/kit and 2 paracord. after counting the pieces out it seems there was an extra Izula II w/kit in the box. Here was a chance to make his day i hoped. I called the shop and asked for him directly and said my ordered was messed up and needed to talk to him:D. After a quick explanation and asked if he would send me a shipping label i would return the extra Izzy. I think that might of made his day. I know it did mine:thumbup:

Roger is as good as there is in this business. I always enjoy visiting with him at trade shows. He's one of those guys that will not screw over anyone. I'd hate to piss him off though. I believe he could hurt you if you ever pissed him off. :D

Pay it forward! Nice integrity!

Yep, always good to see integrity go both ways. Kudos trailhopper.

Good on you trailhopper:thumbup: And another  for Roger & Knifeworks, I too just recently received a package from him and the service was really fast.

I realize that there are a LOT of dealers out there. I am certain that many of them are good guys.

For some time now, Roger has been my 'go to dealer'. Some time back, I needed a knife sent in a big hurry to Iraq. Roger asked for the Soldier's name and APO, and Roger sent the knife to the lad at his expense.
That alone made me a customer for life. The fact that he has what I want, in stock, ships same day, has very competitive rates and prices, and is just a working 'good ole boy' like me, makes it difficult for me to order anywhere else.

Now I don't want to talk out of school, but Roger has had the need of a prayer or two, for his health lately. Keep that in mind, if you are so inclined.

Before we got into the knife industry full time I had given up one people since most everyone seemed to be either a bullshit artist or simply lacked any integrity whatsoever.

If nothing else, the knife industry, and this forum, have led me to meet some of the best people and made some of the best friends anyone could ask for. While the industry itself is lapping at the brim with bullshit, there are some real human nuggets amongst it.

I'd love to give him some business by purchasing a Junglas from him, but it appears they have been discontinued.

I'm not sure but I'm worried because I don't want them to be discontinued

Me too. I still have to wait until someone is proving a point on the exchange to buy ESEE's now. Oh, sure I can still call and buy them from a dealer, but I don't want "new" knives anymore. I want the ones that come from people pissed off at ESEE. I think they work better when there's some scorn on them. Maybe its the righteous indignation that makes the edges keener. Not sure, but I likes me some ESEE exchange blades, for sure.
:D

Trailhopper, a big  to you for what you did. Not sure of your age on this internet wonderland, but your act also says something about some great life lessons taught to you by your parents. This good gesture will be paid back to you again my friend.
Be safe.

It is so nice to see honesty in this world. Well done sir.

Class act trailhopper, thanks for sharing and posting.

As far as Roger, I have been dealing with him since what is now known simply as "Knife Works" was named Bayou Lafourche.

A better man to deal with than Roger, you will not find.....
