Roger Pinnock in Blade

Very good article. Congrats Roger and Dan.

Also of note was another article about who will be hot in '09 which quoted Kevin Jones, David Lisch and showed some work by Kyle Royer.

Within the issue, I saw quite a few knives that were shown previously on Bladeforums.

Hear! Hear!

Three cheers to the Canadian Bushwacker!

All Hail RogerP, from the 51st state!:D:D:D:D

Great article... Mr. Farr did an bang-up job asking the right questions, and you certainly have no trouble conveying your thoughts to words. I'm sure this is why your articles are so fun and easy to read, as well!

The gist of the article is spot-on... you're an invaluable asset to the knifemaking world, a perfect spokesman and diplomat for a community such as ours, and a true gentleman.

Dan's opening sentence says it all:

"Roger Pinnock is the kind of guy I would enjoy knowing even if he weren't a knife collector."

Roger,

Looking forward to reading this article, when the new Blade finally gets down here,

John

Roger, I just read it and you and Dan did a great job. Good insights on collecting. And by the way if you get a chance can you post a picture of the Bob-Sky dagger. I have always enjoyed his work. Maybe one day I can find one for my self and afford it.
Keep up the good work and best regards.
Brion

Thanks again all.

Matt - love the new project! :p You guys would not believe the amount of hockey jokes and metric jokes I endure when I hook up with Matt and Dan - they have an endless supply. :)

Brion - here you go - I had the biggest smile on my face when I bought that knife. Didn't put it down for hours.

Roger, thanks for the picture. That is the style I was thinking of, beautiful knife. He did great work. I am looking forward to the second installment.

Best regards

Brion

Congrats Roger! I look forward to reading the article.

I'm told it will be hitting the stands up here today or tomorrow. The news stand guys just roll their eyes now when they see me coming. :o

Roger

I still haven't seen this issue on the newsstands here in St, Pete. Roger.........they wrote you up and didn't send you a "store" copy? Not to mention the fact that you don't have a subscription?:grumpy: Yeah, yeah, I know..........I let mine run out last year for some reason:D

Joe - there are so few bookstores here that carry Blade that I feel better about making my purchases from them as an incentive for them to keep stocking it and other knife publications.

One of them is in the building that my wife works in - and I just got word from her that it hit the stands and she snatched up 3 copies. :) So I'll get to read it this evening.

Going off topic - while my wife and I both work on Bay St. (think Wall St., NYC) I work in a government building with all the architectural appeal (and same general colour scheme) of a cardboard box. But these are her digs:
