After a lot of great input from everyone here and from Kizer, I have submitted the changes to Kizer for the Rogue, Escort and Nomad.

The Rogue will remain essentially the same. The obvious changes will be tip up and tip down option, relief for access to the thumb stud and the blade is going to be hollow ground. There were a lot of requests for a flipper version. Well, the good news, Kizer is going to do a prototype flipper of the Rogue for the Vanguard line. It should be available for for view at 2017 Blade!

Escort changes are going to be less obvious. There are some minor profile changes. The blade is going to be hollow ground as well. There is going to be a mixed run of blade finishes, black and stonewash!

The Nomad will have the most changes. The milling around the edge will remain basically the same. It will have tip up or tip down option, new clip design and a slightly deeper carry position for the tip up carry option. A subtle blade profile change. We are also working on a slightly different flame anodizing pattern that will be found in the milling around the handle and then the handle flat will remain satin finished.

Can't wait to see how this turn out!

Awesome, I will definitely pick up the revised Escort!

Hell ya! I really like your designs Dirk, and the described revisions sound awesome.

I'm definitely good for a revised Rogue!

I really appreciate you talking with your customers! That's awesome, Dirk. Can't wait to see the changes and what you bring next.

What does anyone think of gold anodizing the hardware and stand offs. To me this lifts design above the grey of the titanium without being in your face.
On the existing nomad it would look like:

That looks pretty good. There might be some potential here.

Looking forward to the revised Escort Dirk! Did the tanto version not get the go ahead?

I personally would say ditch the satin flats, and blast the whole handle. Have distinct mill lines on the whole handle, though. That blade is sweet, and so is the handle, but I think the satin flat draws too much attention to the handle.

My Nomad is fantastic. The only thing I'm not in love with is the pocket clip. Really interested in how these turn out!

I too am looking forward to the updates on all of the knives. Kizer nailed the first run and the changes I wanted to make had nothing to do with Kizer but, my personal belief that I can improve my work. I am thrilled that Kizer is so willing to work with me on this! I will be receiving samples of the Nomad very soon to evaluate the changes I have asked for. Of the three, the Nomad was the design I made the most changes to. I will be looking at a completely bead blasted handle. If it turns out the way I hope, I think we might be going with that. As to delivery on the updated version, I would guess April-May range. The Escort and Rogue had very minor adjustments, so they should be out in fairly quickly. I will post delivery information as I receive it.

Armadew, thanks for the kind words! I agree with you. I can't wait to see how the clip turns out. I hope I hit the mark or came close with this clip!

Looking forward to the new Nomad too. I've been looking forward to an excuse to pull the trigger on one.

I'll keep my eyes open for these updated pieces! You do great work, Dirk!

I didn't mean to rhyme haha.

Will the nomad still have the thumb studs?

At this time, no. The demand for thumbstuds on the Nomad has not been that great. Down the road, a thumbstud variation might be possible in the Vanguard line.

The Rogue could use some improvement to the clip. When the knife is opened, the clip rests just on the edge of the frame. When gripped the clip then is pushed off the frame on the lockbar and makes a clicking noise. Happens everytime. Either the angle of the holes should be changed or the clip should be wider or narrower at the end so it either stays on the frame or stays on the lockbar.
I also don't especially like deep carry clips. And when a deep carry clip is mounted low enough such that it's not actually deep carry, then you have the downside of the clip with none of the upside.
When the Rogue is inserted into the pocket, the pocket seam catches on the clip screws. Happens with other deep carry clips too. Deep carry clips also stick further out from the handle and have worse retention generally.
