Hey Guys! I haven't had a ton of shop time lately but I was able to get this one finish(and another is almost done!). This is an awesome full sized knife. I was pretty nervous using this wood(because it's gorgeous and it costs a lot of $$) But I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! What do you think of the combo? I almost made this a etched blade but decided to do a clean belt finish.
I hope you like it!
BLADE:
Steel: 52100 Deferentially hardened
Overall Length: 8 1/4"
Cutting Edge Length: 3 1/8"
Width*: 3/4"
Spine Thickness: .127"
¼ Back from the Edge: .065"
Edge Thickness: .025"
Finish: Hand sanded flats, Belt finish bevels
Grind: Saber Flat Grind

HANDLE:
Finish: 1000 Grit, then buffed
Material: Premium Stabilized Redwood, Carbon Fiber, and Copper
Pins: Micarta

SHEATH:
Okay, so I couldn't decide what to do with the sheath on this one and most people like different types so I thought I'd just make the knife and let you choose the carry case, I have three main options:

-No sheath(it comes in a case)

-Kydex (me make it, Nice but not really classy but works well) +$15 to cost

-Custom Cross Draw sheath(By Dave Farry aka Horsewright) +$60 to the cost

-Custom sheath by Claude Scott(I haven't worked with him before but would really like to-VERY nice work) +60 to the cost(it might be more but I'll eat the extra cost, within reason, just so I can work with him:P)

So this is how I'm working it, When you say"I'll take it" you can choose which option you want. There will be a bit of a wait time with the leather work but not more than 3 weeks I should think and would be well worth it....or you can just by it without a sheath!

I'll take it. Don't need it but I'll justify it by saying I don't have as many knives as I do guns.

I'll wait for a Claude Scott sheath

I really like your clean grind lines and the carbon fiber bolster with that gorgeous looking wood. I like that you left a place to choke up on the knife for control. I would have liked to see a little tanto type swede like grind on the front for piercing if need be but I like you left a little meat on the spine tip too. Overall it's darn near perfect. One option I think would have really made it pop would have been a mosaic pin in the bolster but that's my own personal taste. Absolutely beautiful knife!!!
