Sarge

kinda like the Weights of Gelbu.

Here's an ancient artist's depiction of the fearsome Quackipuss. Note the webbed feet and obvious indications of cross breeding with "Alligator mississippiensis" (American Alligator).;)

I've been offline for two weeks, had to do some travelling for business. I'm currently slashing my way through my email accounts to cull all the garbage that has accumulated during my absence. I'll probably get around to responding tomorrow. It's nice to be home!

Welcome home buddy, you got back at an exciting time, them Foxjaw Fighter's (Folly?) are so purty they make my eyes water.

My mom, who is ninety-one years old, fell and fractured her hip in the nursing home on Tuesday. Had surgery that night. I have been sitting in her hospital room listening to her scream in agony or moan in delirium since then. My brother took over this morning for a few days - she is supposed to get moved back to the nursing home today, 'cause the docs assure us she "looks real good". I guess they're looking at the computer printouts of her vital signs instead of her, or else I'd hate to see the rest of their patients. Anyway, haven't had much time or inclination for hobbies lately. Prayers and smoke for an old lady would be much appreciated. Sorry to inject a downer note in an upbeat thread.
Berk

Berk,

Will keep you all in my prayers.

My grandmother fell and broke hers when she was 101. Cussed the drs. up one side and down the other for fixing her up cause she was "too old to worry about" she lived to be 108. After the pain wears off she'll be just fine.

OH, yeah, we learned that her moaning and groaning was a way to keep us at her side. As soon as we left, she'd get up and carry on with whatever they do at that age. So take heart. If the drs. say she's doing good, she probably is. Just reassure her that you'll always be close by and you love her.

Then again if the drs. are quacks who knows.:(

Berk, I'm very sorry to hear about your mom's injury. I sure will pray for her quick recovery. Glad you're okay though, you've been missed.

I don't like to hear about good folks having bad luck. Prayers on the way for you and family, especially your Mom.

I know where of you speak about doctors. I watch my wife in pain 99% of the time and, they just can't figure out what is wrong. I don't think they are trying very hard. After some kind of test it takes another month to get the results.
