Roll tide!!!!

I think you completely forgot what you said and are arguing semantics in an effort to save face. Nice try though. ;)

Nope. It's pretty clear what I said...being that it's right there in print and all. Try again.

As to woulda shoulda coulda...if your arm doesn't work, you can't play, I don't give a damn who you are. It's not a matter of toughness--a pinched nerve is a pinched nerve. Pro players have them too, and it's not anything you can "get used to."

Where is the pinched nerve stuff coming from? The announcers said separated shoulder. That, in fact, is something to do with toughness. A weak, frail player can't handle the hit that causes it. I know colt is an athelete, but he isn't built to take those hits. Oh, and let's just stop making excuses. Twenty years from now nobody is gonna care about colt's shoulder, except him of course, but the score will still stand, so will the AP poll, etc. 'Bama won. The end.

I don't argue---Alabama won the game. I just hope, when their fans are not blustering in public and actually have a couple honest moments of reflection, they realize that they "defeated" a team that was entirely crippled and that still produced more total yards than they did, had only one fewer first down, held them to a 1 in 9 completion ratio on 3rd downs, and, but for a fumble at the very end (again true freshman QB) had knocked their first half lead down with 15 unanswered points.

Both teams put on one helluva show. However, t.u.'s defense lost it for them. The mass of penalties adds up. I still have to say that Gilbert did great for being a freshman.

I thought Lou Holz was kind of harsh on that freshman QB. True, he didn't play well, but I don't know where Holz got off saying that he was mentally and physically unprepared to play.

I don't see it as harsh as much as realistic. I don't think the kid had ever played in a college game. There is no way to prep for that. Only experience. I was listening to the radio this morning and they made a great point. Gilbert will NEVER be under any real pressure in a game again. His first game was a Nat'l Championship. Could it get any tougher?

DOUGO83... Don't you think the T.U. thing is a bit juvenile? Silly aggies. aTm has the world's biggest case of penis envy.

 Don't be bitter.

LOL. I have nothing to be bitter about. I didn't go to UT. But I still call it UT. Because that is their name.

I guess if the aggies had anything to brag about (besides fat chicks) they would be talking about that and not Texas. ;)

I wonder if the rankings ya'll are looking at are what is going in for pre-season in the fall. Those rankings tend to take into account how many good players a team is bringing back and how many they are losing. FL is losing many of its good players, maybe the others are returning most of theirs

I believe hoopster was talking about the season-end BCS standings which can be found here:

http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/poll?poll=BCS

Clearly, that poll has been updated as far as wins/losses, but the actual ranking has not. Take a look far right at the previous BCS ranking. It reflects rankings from a several weeks back (end of regular season). I think the final BCS ranking will come out Monday.

Additionally, Cincy was #3 before they got shellacked by Florida. Obviously, they will drop, as will TCU.

Ah, I see, you were taken out of context... You voted for Obama, didn't you?

It's coming from every single news story that followed the game after a doctor actually diagnosed him. The announcers were making their best guesses and filling dead air with a lot of blabber, which is what announcers do.

Agreed

Good catch. I was just looking at W-L.

1. "Context" has nothing to do with it. I said it, clearly, and you misconstrued it for your own end.

2. obama? Absolutely not. But...the accusation did earn you a "shove it" from me. :thumbup"

3. Stop trolling my thread if you have nothing to add.

Hmm...I just read 3 news reports. No mention of 'pinched nerves.' Not that is matters, he needs to man up if he wants to play a contact sport.

You set the tone of the thread with the "poor wittle colt" flippancy. Sounded like bantering bait to me---I didn't realize your feelings would be so easily injured.

I am at least relieved that you were insulted by the Obama accusation.

These were the first five results that came from the Google search, "Colt McCoy injured." Took about ten seconds.

Do you know what really, really disappoints me? I handed you solid gold with my second post: "Key to making an impotent comeback."

The correct reply was, "If you wanted to see an impotent comeback, look at Texas in the second half!! :p"

Sad, so sad. Oh well, I'll leave since this is causing you so much distress.

I set no such tone. I do, however, find it pathetic that a QB is knocked out of a game from what really didn't appear to be a hard hit. As I said, he needs to beef up.

I didn't realize blogs were legitimate news sources...

Not causing any distress. You are just trolling, and derailing, a perfectly good thread about how t.u. lost and all should be elated. :D
