I know everyone has been talking about the NY show a lot lately but this weekend is the Ohio show in Cambridge.

I know Darrel Ralph will be there and many more local makers. I know it won't be the size of NY but for Ohio K-Mart having an overstock sale is a good show :)

Who all will be going?

I'm hoping to be there but I won't know until late in the week, I'd like to try and meet up with some of the other forumites.

And Darrel, I hope you have some knives left over from NY, I may be wanting to add one ;)

I am going to try and come up for it. I hope there is a few manufacturers tables set up. I hope to see other forumites there also.

I had planned on going, but it's one heck of a drive after I dug out the map this evening. Thought it was closer I guess. I would sure like to meet Darrel though. I imagine I'll talk myself right into going, what else am I going to do this weekend

I was really hoping to go to see Darrel my self and possibly pick up a Mini Mad Maxx or Frame locked EDC. But now that I've seen the rest of the people going I think I may stay home so I don't go knife crazy and buy wayyyy too many...

Here's a partial list of attendees:

* A G Russell * A T Barr * Gene Baskett * Beaver Bill Forging * Nico Bernard (Giraffe Bone) * Patrich Bianchi * Frank Dilluvio * Tom Downing * Jim Downs * Donald Fields (Ivory) * John Fraps * Bruce Gillespie * Greg Gottshalk * John Greco * Raymond Guess * Wayne Hensley * Darrel Hibben * Rick Hinderer * Hoffman Photography * Roger Jones * Mike Kinker * Koval Knives * Lile Knives * Mark Murtha * Sherry Lott (Leather) * Billy Potter * John Pratt * Vernie Reed * Robbin's Cases * Mark Sentz * Richard Smith * Stidham's Knives * Dale Warther * George Werth * Wayne Whitley * John J. Looks good already... Wire Bender, I think it'd be worth it. It's about 2.5 hours for me...

I'm going to try and stop by. If for no other reason than to pester Darrel. I wonder of Bruno will be attending? :)

My-o-my, with a list of names like that you could'nt afford not to go!
Prowlngrowl, make sure you stop by my table and say hi.

No Bruno! I guess you'll have to do, Darrel. Scorpion ready yet? ;)

I'm throwing my camera in the car now. Nothing like an eight hour drive thinking of knives all the way.

I think you'd be looking at about 2 to 2.5 hours each way depending on traffic. Just head up 71 to Columbus and take 70 East to Cambridge.

I got rid of the GI Joe avatar in favor of something a little more realistic.

So if you see this ugly mug walking around with a beautiful woman it may just be me... :)

fossilhunter,

It's about a three hour drive from Cincy - just came back through there from kayak trip Sunday. I'll be wandering around, at least on Friday.

Hey Tom,

Streetsboro is South East of Cleveland right near Six Flags/Geauga Lake & Sea World. If you get off the Ohio Turnpike at the exit for Sea World, you're in Streetsboro.

My wife and I are both from Youngstown but got tired of being shot at so we moved ;)

I've been e-mailing back and forth with Karl to try and meet up with you guys.

We also spend a lot of time in your neck of the woods since my wife's mother lives on Buckeye Lake and my best friend lives in Grove City.

I bit the big one and bought a fully fileworked Mini Madd Maxx. Darryl told me this is one of only two that he has done filework on.

My first decent show was a really good one. Loved talking to all the forumites and the makers were great. Special thanks to DDR, John Greco, Arno Bernard and Theuns Prinsloo. All of these guys are great people to shoot the bull with.

Darryl, thanks for the great deal on the Mini Maxx, I've been working on mastering the flipper all night!

So DDR sold you the one he had at the show. You must have made him a great offer or just talked his ear off until he sold it to you.

I didn't think that was your plan. If I would have known you were going to blow it all right there I may have stayed for a while longer.
Now... if you need to sell that Mnandi to pay for it just give me a holler.

Congrats.

JT
