I guess we shall see. My thinking is, it would have been more prudent for you to contact ZT first and explain the situation to see what they would do, before you took a gamble.

Exactly, just buy the knife intact or call ahead. I'm guessing you didn't call ahead due to not having enough nerve to do so.

I do not approve. Just buy one. My 0452 is very nice and carries great on the weekends.
I like my 0462 even more...the steel washers under the bearings make the action just
fantastic. It drops closed FAST with zero wiggling or shaking.
I trust ZT will help me if anything goes wrong. But if enough people screw them over
that may impact every ZT buyers coverage. Which is not cool.

Update, “No Dice“

Got a voicemail from them Friday, they will not put a new blade on without having the old one sent in.

They will be sending the scales back to me. Can’t argue with that policy, sending it in was worth the shot though.

The original post is ALOT of what is wrong with the world today, IMHO. Trying to get something for nothing. The fact that the OP actually had an inkling that what he was doing was right has me wondering where the world has gone wrong sometimes.
