Roller Bearings vs Ball Bearings which is faster & smoother?
Roller bearings have maximum contact area & more stable support for the blade to glide on.
Ball bearings have minimum contact area & less friction so blade kind of floats on them.
Which is faster and smoother?
Anyone has both versions to compare, maybe someone who has Shiro's with both types to compare?
I know there is mathematical scientific difference BUT in actual practical use, when you handle knives, can you tell the difference in opening performence?
