Rolling Lock problem

I recently took apart my Carnivore for cleaning and lube. Upon reassembly, I noticed that the lock was very hard to push, it seems like it is binding. Everything works properly, the lock is just harder to push then normal. I have taken it apart before and put it back together and it did not do this. The button will move 1/16" then get harder to push. Also, it only does it when opening with thumb stud. It works fine when holding the lock down and slinging it open and for inertial openings. I have tried loosening and tightening the blade pivot and grip screws. Any comments or suggetions appreciated.

FW-hmmmm. Baffling. If it were me, I'd take it apart again and inspect two things. The radius where the little swing arm rides against the liner, and the G10 groove that the slide moves in. Look for any burrs, or foreign material that might have gotten in there. If nothing catches your eye, wipe it down, lube it up and put it back together. Let us know what happens.

Well, I took it apart and found nothing
wrong with the scale or with the lock arm. So, I put it back together thoroughly lubed. After assembly, it was still hard for two or three tries, then it was good as new for a few more tries. Now, it is back to the same old problem. Although, it seems to be getting a little better. One out of four tries I have to use both thumbs to disengage the lock. Like I said earlier it only does it when opening with the thumb stud. This is wierd. When I get the time I am going to disassemble again and try a different reassembly method.

Thanks for your help

OK, Im stumped. How long is the spring in yours? Mine was very long and I had to trim it down because it kept getting hung up. REKAT is putting shorter springs in the newer versions.

Final Warrior sounds like the spring is binding up with the slide Look and sees if the spring is straight. If it’s bent you will need to replace it with a new one.

I measured the spring length to be .730. Then, I put the knife back together being careful to make sure that spring and button reamined flat. Its seems to be working much better now. Maybe the spring was kinking? Also what length spring is REKAT now using?
