Roll'n w/the punches.***updated pg 4***

Nick, THAT is badass! The other handle was perfectly fine by my notion but this New and Improved handle is sensational!

Been here and done exactly the same thing. Should have seen my friend when I took a hammer to a handle on one of my JS knives. Have had some that just did not flow right and some with a minor flaw. All of them got new handles. And Coop, hammer and anvil is the easiest way to get the job done.

Nick this is exactly why I am greatly influenced by your work. Great job on the re-do. The handle flow is exceptional. If I saw that on a table I could tell it was a Wheeler Knife.

All I can say is that this one screams “Wheeler” compared to the other one who just whispered it. ;)

Like Bruce said, getting the handle shape just right is a hard and time consuming process. (And strangely despite that, probably my favorite part of making knives :o). Hopefully this type handle doesn’t take too long to do compared to the original one so you can keep it in the same price range like you planned.

Yup!

'Theatrics' has propelled this knife and thread and Nick's status again into the stratosphere. I stand firm. :D Genius advertising.

I love you too, Nick! :)

Coop

Nick, can yoy take a picture of the knife on an angle please? The pin looks too "centered" with the straight on view. ;):)

That ^^^. Not to mention the pin seems a bit too big. ;)

Nick either way excellent work and your passion shows in all your knives!!!

Really.
Nick, was this all a masterfully planned and thought out promotion from the very beginning? ;) :D
One knife producing 3 SUPER Hot threads, you're a Genius. ;)

My suspicions were raised when I noticed that Nick had photo shopped an ugly handle onto one of his blades.

Just kidding!

I heard he uses "blue screen" and computer graphics! :D

This is a classic Wheeler and a winner all the way around, but I wonder if this experience will dampen Nicks creativity.

You got to give the people what they want. I understand the economics of it, and the demand for the "Classic Wheeler" but as nice as it is, just think what else he might create if economics and demand don't keep him "in the box".

It's a luxury to be able to just do what you want creatively, we all struggle with it. I hope you will still try new things, Nick

This is art, art is creativity.

Nick, the end-grain micarta is great looking, as are the shaping and ergos of the mach II handle. I, for one, dig it much.

Late comments, but I've been following this thread from the beginning and have really appreciated the give and take, the thoughtful comments, the emotions, and last but not least the end result. Input has been much more personal and thus more meaningful than many threads. Finally, Nick, I can hardly believe that you can market such a refined knife as a "mid-range" piece, but if you can, please sign me up.
