Hello,

I'm looking for a usable gladius type of Roman sword. Were might I find something like this?

Thanks for any info

Historical, or modern? Not sure who's making a functional historical gladius, but Condor has a more modernized one they call their "combat machete"

Obviously the one I'm talking about is the one on the top. ;)

If you go to Swordforums in the Beginner's section, there is a good thread on Gladius type swords and so on. Hope this helps!

Awhile go,I bought a Cold Steel : Fight Machete Dvd in it lynn has some wonderful mods that can be done by a person who has a belt grinder. One of the projects that I found rather interesting was how a diamond shaped grind on the double edge machete's tip made it look very much like a roman sword.

Just one word.......Albion. Three different versions, Mainz, Fulham and Pompeii, no scabard though

FortyTwoBlades; normally I'm a fan of traditional materials, but that is a sick modern adaptation of a gladius. Thanks.

Swordsmith Mark Morrow makes an awesome Gladius. Check him out.

Agreed, I think I need to get one of those for a truck knife. It's got like a 13" blade which would be great for close quarters.

I just got a Windlass Steelcraft Pompeii pattern. I had it sent to a friend/ knife maker and he sharpened it up. Nice piece for the price!
