SOLD
For Sale:
Custom tomahawk from Ron Leuschen / Little Hen Knives of Canada. I had this 'hawk commissioned back in 2003 from Ron. I don't know if he is still in the business, but this is an impressive piece.
O1 tool steel for the head. Sharpened on the face and the spike only. (The spike is ridiculously sharp, use extreme caution.) Engraved with Little Hen Knives' makers mark, along with the Chippewa word for "Grandmother" - "Nimishoomis," in honor of my Great-Grandmother. Hand forged, with a satin finish.
Curly Maple haft in what I call a reverse "Mogwa" style, similar to the hawk carried by "Mogwa" - Wes Studi, in "Last of the Mohicans." The haft was wedged on, then some sort of clear epoxy was put over the wedge to ensure it remained in place.
This hawk has never been used to cut or chop anything. It was merely an ornamental piece for me. There are some things I want to be up front about for the matter of full disclosure. This hawk traveled with me in a few moves to various military bases, and suffered a few cosmetic blemishes along the way. A couple small dents to the head, some very minor surface oxidation, and a scuff to the haft which I tried to photograph. I can take any additional photos you may want to see.
I am asking $275 shipped conus for this piece. Payment by USPS money order, or paypal (+4%) only please. Due to a limited budget, I am selling to try to put together funds for a different project. International buyers are welcome, but must understand that any international shipment is solely at the buyers expense and risk. Offers will be entertained, but not necessarily accepted.
The pictured Strider SmF is for a size reference only, and is not included with the sale of this tomahawk. (The Strider isn't for sale anywhere, it is my EDC.)
