Ron Newton / John Fitch Collaboration Damascus Fighter

Great looking knives! We can see that Steve left his mark and when the work is done by makers such as Ron and John you know you will have a winner.
 
Beautiful knives! Both are stunning! The mosaic blades and heat- colored furniture look awesome together. Any idea how he(they) made the giraffe bone handled knife into a full tang piece? The photo of the bare blades makes it look like it was going to be a hidden tang model.
 
Hi Todd,

Both knives have giraffe bone handles and are hidden tang construction. The one with the lighter-coloured giraffe bone is mortise fit. The slightly larger knife with the grey giraffe bone is a cased handle (not a full tang, but looks like one).

Thank you for the kind words on the collaboration knives. It was the first time John and I ever collaborated on anything.

I collaborated on an antique dogbone bowie several years ago with John Perry which was my first collaboration. J.W. Randall and I are now planning my third collaboration on a gun knife which we are hoping to debut at the ABS Reno show in January.
