Damascus Hunter - Ron Panko - SOLD

I just got these, and I am excited to have them!

If you are not familiar with Ron Panko, you need to take a look at his work. Ron Panko is relatively new to knife making. Before jumping into knives, he worked on his basic skills as a steel worker for 30 years. He forges his own blades, and makes his own Damascus. His knives are tough and have great curves.

Ron's Damascus Hunter is built of 200 layer Damascus, made of layered L6 and 1084. 1084 is medium/high carbon steel - tough but not brittle. L6 is super tough low alloy special purpose tool steel.

This tapered full tang hunter has an OAL of 6 5/8". The handle is pine burl and Ipe. Ipe is a tropical hardwood that is so dense and tough that it sinks in water. It is 3 times harder than Teak, and 70% stiffer than hard maple.

In reference to the drop point 'hunter'.........what steel is used and what is the 'use' history of this knife (new/LNIB/carried, but not used, skinned 4 elephants.....etc.).

Thanks.
