Rooftop Robbery?

Oh man , That has to be a sight.. LOL

...especially when you're half asleep, awakened by the racket, and all you see when you look out your window is a big wiggling, shaggy butt with two legs braced outside the edges of the riser/vent that comes to just above ground level on the tank. His head and shoulders were down inside the riser. Without thinking, I ran out onto the upper deck of the house and yelled at him--luckily he popped back up out of the tank and ran for cover. Only after did it occur to me that I might have startled him into losing his balance and falling in. I don't know what I'd have done then...

It's not unusual to see bears around our house, as we live up at 7300' elevation in the Sacramento Mtns of southern NM, surrounded by ponderosa pine forest, but the septic tank stunt was a first, at least for me.

Thats some crazy stuff... Where I live something like that is unheard of.
LOL, , yea, that would open up a lot of problems for the bear and you if he fell in the tank.. oooooh

I remember last year there were cougars on the loose in my local forest preserve. Everytime I went hiking I took my FFFBM with me jus in case.. Eventually thought police found them an shot em up :thumbdn: Chicago Police will basically shoot at anything that moves.

I have a stray baby deer that seems to be taking up residence in my backyard but I doubt I is capable of causing any real trouble expect eating up the entire garden.. I can deal with that though :)

Yeah, my wife planted some aspen trees in the yard last fall, and we had to put up a little fence around each one to keep the deer and elk from nibbling away all the new growth. They'll even eat the bark in the winter when there's too much snow to find forage on the ground.
