Was just glancing at these It's a stainless single shot .22 with an interchangeable shotgun barrel in 20 gauge or 410..I would imagine the fit and finish isn't all that but for a takedown trip gun it might be allright Any one have any experiences?

I have one, and they actually are pretty decent guns. If you are going to buy one of the youth models, the synthetic stock models have a better stock drop and feel for a grown man. The fiber optic sights on the synthetic models that Dicks sells are very nice. They aren't the best grouping .22's in the world (I bet you already knew that). I put an Chinese AK sling on mine. They are what they are.... For less than a hundred bucks at Dick's on sale, I would say they are a good buy- but make sure you buy it on sale.

Here in Brazil they sell that same combo as a 10 inch barrel pistol. Better yet stocked pistols are legal here so you could make it into a SBR combo gun. If it wasn't nearly impossible ot transport such a gun or actually hunt with it i would snap one up in a heartbeat.

They are kind of goofy in that the .22 barrel is bored off center to account for the rimfire. Mac

Right you are--I just heard a quoted price (from last November's sale) of $79. Not in effect right now, but not bad.

I purchased on for my 9 year old son last year. I think that for the money it is a bargain. When they are broken down it is actually a very compact unit. I think that for putting meat in the pot it is perfect and I would feel completely confident in that liitle guns ability in a survival situation.

Ditto on all counts. Couldn't have said it better.

Wow, that sounds like it would be a good first gun for my 10 yr old. I will have to look for one of those.
