Up for sale is a rotary flat platen assembly for a belt grinder. The platen is constructed from parts from “Nathan the Machinist” and Beaumont metal works as well as a shop made water cooled platen chiller. These parts were sold a few years ago and I don’t believe they are still for sale from the manufacturer. This platen and second belt provide a flat grinding service that has adjustable cushion which also reduced belt bump and produces a finer finish. The flat platen can also be removed to provide slack belt grinding with more support and control than an unsupported slack belt.
