Rotring Pens?

I bid on two on ebay (Silver Rollerballs) on ebay a few days ago, outbid/sniped by folks from the UK and Germany. I went ahead and bought a black finish rollerball, if it is as good as I hope it is, I will keep looking for a silver.

I have a local pen store that carries a lot, although that may have changed since I haven't been in there lately. If you guys are desperate, I can get a few and mail them to you. I'll try and stop by tomorrow and see what they've got.

Well I just got back from The Pen Place and they barely had ANY Rotrings, let alone the ones you guys wanted. Their little Rotring corner was mostly filled with Lamy fountain pens and only 2 Rotring models. Sorry to disappoint.

thanks for taking the time snow!

Just a heads up - do not step on your pen when it is in your pants pocket on the floor next to your bed while getting up to feed the baby at two in the morning. I rec'd mine a week or so ago, love it, but stepped on it last night, and this morning, found that it had broken.

In the "grip", there is an interior and exterior barrel, which are threaded together , holding the little silver "nubs" which retain the cap. the threads appear to have broken apart from the flex/pulling and bending secondary to stepping on it. This sucks...

Anyone know where I can get replacement parts for a discontinued Black Rotring 600 Rollerball? I may take it to a jeweler and see if the sleeves can be soldered together (ruining the threads and surely voiding the warranty, but the pen is trashed unless I can replace the part).

ANY input would be greatly appreciated. I loved the ballpoint 600, but the heft and feel of it are nothing compared to the rollerball.

Thanks,

AN

I just contacted the "Parker/Waterman/Sensa/Rotring Svc Center" - got the number from the guy at Made2Shop.com. - and they said to send it in, they will repair it for a fee, since it isn't really warrantable damage. Good news, now I just need to be more careful where I step...
