Just a word of thanks to all of you folks who have been writing and calling with raves about your Ranger Hawks!!!

Our Rogers' Ranger Hawks are total users and totally tough....just like Major Robert Rogers and his Rangers, and not surprisingly, our US Army Rangers of today.

No, our Ranger Hawks ain't the prettiest nor are they representative of state of the art manufacturing.

They are men's tools born from the forge, fire, and hammer......giving tribute to tough men from a period in history...designed to throw, work, cut, and chop...providing the owner a complete sense of service and satisfaction in their purchase.

Bobby and I thank you deeply for sharing this experience and making our dream come true!

Hey Andy,

The hawk you are holding must be new and not thrown by you. It still has a handle. Got ya.

Bobby , come out here ,it's 90 degrees. You won't need a coat.

I know of a couple of dead pine trees down on the trails, in Batsto Village NJ. And I'm going to try to chop/throw it there.

Geeze...nice hair too. How does he do it?!!

How long is the handle on that there tommyhawk?

How about multiple "spikes" used as tent stakes? Could you use the flat portion of the head, at the handle/head juncture as a hammer?

Have you tried the edge on flesh? Most good belt axes do well in skinning tasks.

Of all the people that have recieved them, how many intend to use them for tasks rather than throwing?

Just wondering,

Andy:

Been too busy. The Hawks are incredible, even though I have had no time to toss one yet...soon, very soon

Gave one to a Ranger friend of mine, a guy that has stared the beast in the eye and made it home. Retired now, but he still plays rough. Twisted it around in his hands, asked who made it, and simply said "Dam*, where was he when I needed this?"

A job well done my friend, as I knew it would be. We will talk soon. Thanks.

Hey Andy, that hawk looks bigger than other hawks.
Larger diameter handle. Is this true?
Or are you smaller than most?

Thanks for all the great contributions on this thread....let's see some more pics than just of your Polar Bear Club host!

Greg.....the Hawk in my hand is the Rogers' Rangers Light Infantry Tomahawk. Everything truly is as it looks on it......dimensions and all. It is a real workhorse. The Spike Hawk is a little smaller and faster, as well as a little less utilitarian.

As for my size, my friends in the NYC area often refer to my father and me as Little Giants!! ...as we are both just under 5'8"...the camera angle in this pic does give me the Stallone effect however.....in Rambo II, he looked 7' tall!

Andy,
Many, many thanks for this Hawk! it IS like all the Rangers I know..(and it survived the UPS shipping..the package was HAMMERED.)I could not stop admiring it..and plan on taking it with me to Gunsite, Arizona, when I attend one of their courses soon. I am sure that the folks down there will be impressed. I have been out of the loop. What is the "polled" Hawk? I also had not heard about the sheath. I know that I will HAVE to have another. (makes me feel like watching "Last of the Mohicans" again.)
Very Respectfully,
Michael Honeycutt
