She Who Must Be Obeyed forced me to spend the day walking the local beach today. At least she let me carry my EWOK.

The Brown Pelicans kept us company.

Some leaf barnacles.

And a crab or two.

To be continued...

The EWOK makes a good snail holder. It seems to do everything I ask of it well. A perfect little knife.

SWMBO then forced my to try some survival skills. She made me cook dinner.

Nice pics, nice knife, nice food; what more could a man ask? It looks like a great day.

I've never had a grill get as hot and cook as well as the Lodge hibachi.
I loved my Weber but I wouldn't trade the lodge for anything except more room. It would be too small if we were a larger family but then again, it stays hot so long you can cook several courses on it.

yeh what kind of grill is that\

edit: its a lodge huh. guess we posted around the same time. hehe.

Great pictures. I love hanging by the tidepools, always so many critters to play with. Food looks excellent.

I'm stuffed! Steak, portabello mushrooms and pasta with browned butter and Myzithra cheese. Washed down with Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA.
Can life be better?

Excellent place with fine weather and .... And those foods!

What are those awesome mushrooms ?
The mushrooms are Portabello. They are fantastic.
Thanks for the comments. I don't get home often but when I do I take advantage of the paradise I live in. Next time we will be canoeing up Drift Creek in my new(to me) 17ft Alumacraft canoe!!!:D

Portabello, thanks.
I think cultivated one can be found within our local food store
but they never look like this. I mean this size and lookings.

They looks like wild one, are they?

No we bought them at the grocery store. They were fairly large, but somewhat typical here. I grill them with olive oil brushed on them. They are wonderful.

Great pictures - That crab is a cool pic you've got there. The EWOK is a great looking blade also.

Beautiful day!

Oh well that was a great trip home.
Now it's time to get back on the road.:(
At least I'll I have two new knives to keep me company.:D
