Hey guys- here is a group that is a few stages ahead of the last group. These are taken to the point that I take blades before heat-treat.
The blades have been surface ground, profiles cleaned up, and bevels rough ground to 60X. They have been thermal cycled in the salt bath and are ready for clay hardening (if you so choose..... and you should because they're W1 and W2 ;) :) LOL). Except for the last two which are already heat-treated. :)

#1. SOLD and shipped! Thanks Mike!!! :) :) W2 8-3/8" - 9" blade X 1.5" wide X 0.188" thick at ricasso $75+shipping

#7. Sold pf :) W2 8" blade X 1-1/4" wide X 0.192" at ricasso.

This was an order where the client fell through, so it just sat in the drawer. It's been clay hardened, finish ground, sanded to 320X and the 416 stainless steel guard has been fit. It was damn near finished... but unfortunately the tip got some rust on it, and it needs to be taken care of. Personally I'd use stones, but a quick trip to the grinder and some sand paper would get rid of it too. I no longer have any desire to finish it, so I'll put it up here. $120 +shipping

I'lll take # 6. If it's okay, I'll hold off on payment until tomorrow to see what other goodies you post.

Thanks Randy! Yep that is fine :) I've got more blades ;) :)

I forgot to say that since all but the last 2 aren't hard, a person could change their shape if he or she wanted.

As far as the prices... I had a fella email me and say he thought they were too steep. It was hard for me to come up with prices, but I thought they were fair based on materials and time... I didn't figure too many new makers gave a crap about my position in the knife market with the collecting world ;) But FWIW any of the first 3 blades in this thread would be a $1000-1300 knife if I were to finish it (this is simply a reference!!! nothing more or less intended) :)

Thanks folks :)

I think your prices are more than fair. Anybody that doesn't hasn't ground or forged a blade before IMHO. If you figure $15-$20 for the steel, and a LOW wage of $20.00/hr, it's a bargain. And even if you can get #6 forged, ground, and heat treated in 3 hours, I can't. :)

#2 Please :)

I'm in Vancouver Canada BC Postal code V3H4E4 (Where I'd like her shipped) (If it's possible to have her HT'd I'd spring for it)

Let me know!

Actually Nick, i think i will hold off on the paypal thing...there is a good chance i might want more lol

Wow guys, I really thank you all for the support here. This is all two fold for me. One part, is the $$$ will add to our down payment on the new house.... which is obviously very important! :)

Second, is it gets the blades out of my head. It really weighs on me having blades that I want to finish, but don't have time for... so getting them out to folks who will finish them is a huge weight off my mind! :)

I also wanted to say that I'm doing my best to gather all the zip codes and figure out shipping, but with some of the threads being edited I'm getting spun around a little. No worries on that, I don't want someone to buy something they don't want!!! But I don't want anybody to think I'm not working to stay on top of this either. :)

Thanks everyone! :)
