Hey Mike
Has that knife been taken apart? The bolster pivot pins don't look like RR work and neither does the shield.

Regards

Robin

Well this is a bit tricky Robin, the knife is RR kit, which I managed to complete. I didn't like the scales that came with it so I changed it to snakewood, there was no shield originally so I fixed in small silver plate, and I swedged the clipoint blade and the sheepfot as well. I still need to make the final polish and try to hide the pins.
this is how I got it

I've got a sodbuster, canoe, and I think a sowbelly and a congress. I've been very happy with three of them. I didn't by the one, it was given to me, and it's not really fair to say I'm not happy with it as I don't carry it. The person I got it from told me the springs were weak. I admired the scales but it just went into my drawer then. I carry the canoe the most as it's nice and thin. I used the sodbuster the most but have since replaced it with a Case without the lock. If the RR didn't have a lock on it it would see equal carry with the Case.

In that case, great work ;-))) I have a RR trapper kit that sits on my bench and taunts me. They sent me a kit with a deformed backspring so I've been thinking about turning it into a single blade. Some day I may give it a try.

Best regards
