I bought this a couple months ago and it just didn't do it for me, so I did a little customizing. Emoryed off the black coating, repolished the blade, reshaped the blade and sharpened it to about a 15 degree edge. Silver side streaks are auto pin stripping applications.

Now it's my favorite around the home heavy duty work knife. Took a great edge and has held it for a month of heavy use. Not bad for a $7 knife! Very pleased with all my RRs.

BTW, how do I show just the images and not the URLs?

Oops, sorry, I thought I was on the general forum. All but one other of my RRs (36 and counting) are traditionals, just use to doing RRs here. Can the moderator move it please?

Hey!! You're doing photos now, Rich; congrats!:cool::thumbsup:
Jeff is right, though; this thread will probably get moved out of traditionals.
Nice work though; did you modify the original finish of the blade, too?

Yes, repolished the blade with decreasing grits of emory and then buffed it on my bench wheel.

Thanks Frank. Just got a cheap digicam, no editing software other than Windows Paint (pretty limited) and first try at adding a pic to my posts (only took 4 or 5 edits). Will be more careful in the future. I guess an old geezer can learn new tricks :)
