Here's a couple of serious pieces of convex ground 5160 for ya! Both of these are about 14 1/4" overall, 9 3/4" tip-to-scales, one with Curly Maple scalesSPF and one with Tan Canvas Micarta. The blades were both rough-forged and left with as many hammer marks as I could, then minimally ground to an edge. The finish is a blued, bleached, and buffed 'antiqued' look, making both of these blades full of textures, shapes, and random marks that give 'em a ton of character:thumbup: However, that same texture did make it hard to see my maker's mark even after a longer-than-normal etch, so if you'd like, I can engrave my name on the spine, though I won't unless you ask!

Asking $205SPF for the remaining chopper, with the above sheath:eek: That price includes paypal and shipping in the US. I'll take a USPS MO, also, and I will ship overseas for a little additional $.

Thanks,

Walter

Thanks, guys:thumbup:

defaultuser, I'm not afraid to ship past the border for just a bit more:D:thumbup: Just thought I'd throw that out there;)

Thanks, gents! Some day I'll learn how to do bolsters and fix one up real authentic-like, but I think these capture the spirit of the design pretty well:D

Another note: the Micarta handled one is slightly heavier, with a more forward balance. It's more weighted as a chopper and has a slightly thicker/heavier bevel (though the final edges are about identical). While these are both choppers, no doubt, the Maple handled knife is more do-it-all friendly, while the micarta one just wants to take on a forest:p

Gorgeous Walter! That is a great style, compliments your moonshine series one very well!

I'd really like to move these, so back up with a little price drop:thumbup:

Hell Walter,
That's not too far from what I was going to suggest to you for an order! Email sent. :)

I'm having an "I got a job" sale:D Dropped the price with sheath a bit (currently working on the sheath-I'll have pics up tomorrow!

Added pics of the knife in its new pants:D Sheath is 8-10 oz. leather, lightly tooled, front and back are left natural, the edges are lightly dyed, and the entire sheath is well treated with Sno-Seal! My leatherwork is still not perfect (in this case, the belt loop stitching is off-kilter a bit:o) but it's getting better:thumbup: And, it's plenty heavy duty;)
