The Rangeflap holster is an excellent field holster. It provides great protection for your handgun when you are in rugged conditions whether on foot, horseback, atv, jeeping or however you travel the wilds. The Rangeflap holster has several unique characteristics that set it apart from the rest. First it is not made for a specific handgun but rather more for a frame size. Second it can be carried either strong side or cross draw. The holster for sale is made out of premium Wickett ands Craig leather. It is fully leather lined and the roughout holster has been tooled with a Carlos Border stamp. A roughout holster will just shrug off abrasions and scratches, extremely durable. It is a large size and will fit large semi autos and revolvers. Pictured below is the holster for sale. It is carrying a 5" N frame revolver.
A solid brass buckle provides closure and the strap is Water Buffalo belt leather. A few handguns that fit in this size Rangeflap holster. Also all 5" 1911s fit very well.
The Rangeflap holster has two points of belt attachment and this allows the holster to spread the weight. It makes a heavy handgun feel much lighter and a lighter handgun just goes away. This shot shows you how a Rangeflap holster attaches to the belt.

Each Rangeflap holster is completely handcrafted by me using only the finest materials and time tested methods of construction. this ensures you years of use. Four Rangeflaps under construction in the shop. These have their linings sewn in and a re ready to be sewn together.
