I am considering buying a rams horn Barlow from CK but the knife will usually be in a pocket with keys etc. How well does this material hold up?Thanks for any advice

I've heard no complaints, but your knife will definitely get dinged and scratched up without a pocket slip or separate from keys in some way.
You'll get better answers on the porch though.

Leather pocket sheath or look forward to many dings. The sheath looks great and you can still share space in he same pocket with other gear. Rams horn is durable but keys, coins and flashlights will cause asymmetrical wear. No issues if it will be alone in the pocket but only you know if you can dedicate a pocket. The pros are in the traditional folder area. Good luck and enjoy your new knife.

CK makes very nice leather slips. I have several. Just add one to the purchase. They're only a few dollars.

Why not just stand it upright next to your wallet?
This is how I carry my traditionals.

It will just about disappear. You will forget it is there, won't feel it when you sit, and won't bother you otherwise. But when you need it, it is easy to retrieve and it will stay upright just about all the time.

I have the Cris Reeves small leather slip and it's amazing how many knives fit that case. Especially traditional knives.

I've got two on a for sure reserve, CF and Palo Santo.
Any knife carried with keys etc will get scratched and worn looking.
CK will have a soft pocket sheath made for that knife, you could use that.

I carry my knife in a dedicated RFP and my keys hooked to my belt with a clip I got at Walmart. Then dump change in the ashtray as soon as I get back to the truck.
