Anyone use a round tin to pack a PSK in??

I found some cheese snack tins that are perfect to fit into the top of the Maxpedition 10x4 or 12x5.

I'd like to see some options on what and how to put things in it without a ton of leftover room.

Anyone willing to share pix???

good find, looking at the same idea. I would pack first aid items. I would put VELCRO strips to attach it to the inside cover so would not fall out and some type of pull tab on the tin cover so you could open it one handed.
side note I found that the round ones {tins} caused less wear on the pockets of shirt and pants pockets

If you have a Asian store nearby look for AMERICAN GINSENG CANDY Gold Tin 5.3 oz perfect fit with the 32.oz Guyout bottle and the GSI cup on top.
Just tried it will have to dig one out of my project's box, as the one I used was the one I made into a candle container.

Doc,

Thanks man. :thumbup:

Guess I will experiment a bit too. :eek:

I like the igniter givind one-handed fire-starting options... :cool::thumbup:

For a bit I had my 1st line PSK in a round tin (Burt's Bees hand salve to be exact). Helt the essentials very well. I carried that tin in a grenade pouch along with a AMK heat sheet and a bit of cord. Worked nicely and I could wear it nicely on my belt. It was a bit smaller than what I have put together now and very likely will go back to it. Figure I would be more likely to carry it.

I've carried a round, plastic tobacco tin for many years because it do not eat my pockets, and no one ever gave it a second glance. Trick with round tins is to find alternatives to longer items and to wrap everything in a circular fashion(obviously) towards the center. I layer so the smaller items are to the top, and larger, longer itmes to the bottom. No pics sorry, gear rich, camera poor!

i am a snuser and have a bunch of empty tins lying around. i also am a pipe smoker so i have some of those too. i never thought to make a psk out of it. whats cool about portion snus is that it usually comes in a tin with another compartment on top to store spent snuses.
