Round versus Oval hole showdown

1) I like studs better than either type of hole.
2) I don't care as much about the shape of the hole as I care about size. A larger hole is easier to open.
3) I find it more difficult to find knives with round holes that meet my sense of aesthetics than knives with oval holes.

I have and use all three types. See entry 1).

I've read some threads with complaints that some holes have more beveled edges and are harder to open, but I have never experienced it myself.

I love the spydiehole, but I think oval works well too. I own a Victorinox One-handed Trekker, and this model has an oval hole. The oval is fine.

I don't normally buy knives with thumbstuds, but I made an exception when I purchased my BMade 530. I can launch the blade on my BMade 530 quicker than any knife I own, and the 530 has teeny tiny thumbstuds. It is a very well designed folder.
