Very interesting, but as a couple of other posters have stated, also sad. I usually try to see opportunity instead of problems, but seeing so much opportunity for so long, must get depressing for the residents of Sheffield and other decaying former industrial centers. None of that withstanding, you're an excellent writer, and I genuinely enjoying reading about your travels. Thanks.

In answer to question -I don't want to seem negative but No.

a "swift half"

Since a half is only a mouthful, and inevitably leads to more, a swifty is always a good plan! Of course when you get to the bar, it seems pointless to order a half when you can have a pint, and then everyone wants to get their round in, and then other plans begin to seem less important, and you look at your watch and there's just time for another swift one
