Round Yorkshire With A Knife: The Wizard's Quest Part 19 - Of Car-Boots & Castles...

Beautiful travel assortment, Jack!
Too bad it is not very Wizardly! No lightning bolts, earthquakes, nor raging storms!
Just genteel living; fine folks at ease!!:)
A lost button - some succulent fruit - no problem!!;)

What awaits thee, in Harrowgate??

When I hear the word "genteel" I think of marmalade and thats pretty spooky because I just had some on me toast for breakfast 10 mins ago.

Thanks for another very interesting chapter in your quest. I've been busier than usual for the past week or so and am just now getting around to catching up on the board (aside from the occasional quick post and peek at the "What Traditional Knife are you totin' today" thread). I always enjoy reading your updates; and this one is once again informative and entertaining and the photos are outstanding. The local tourism officials would do well to hire you as a freelance writer as your tales definitely make me want to see your part of the world in person some day. Perhaps they could compensate you with antique Sheffield cutlery? :)

Thanks for the kind words Stephen :)

Cheers Charlie, but no, I don't think it's very Wizardly. Nor is this Girl Guide knife I picked up with the accompanying belt in 'Harrowgate'! :D

Another thank you Jack. Where do you get the energy for all that tripping around ? However, you got some great pieces. I love the travel kit. I recently picked up a guide knife like yours except that mine did not have a blade, just a spike.

Thanks ADEE, nice to see you here

Some great views in this episode Jack! Love the stag on the knife you had in your pocket that day!

Thanks my friend, I was lucky with the weather that day. The knife is by Abrams. Brooksbank :)
