I watched your video...21min,15 sec and you accidentally cut off half of it.
I was filming with a DSLR that has a time limit. It's something like 11 or 12 minutes (it's based on file size so it's not a fixed number). I think I missed around 5 to 7 minutes of sharpening. I assure you it wasn't any more exciting than the rest of the video.


I'm going to go with your #6 speed locked on and set it up high on a table like you did. It looks like it works out much better than my one handed pull across technique.
These days I'm less patient. I crank the speed to almost full for most of the low grit grinding, which is the majority. For finishing, I lower the speed down to 4 or even 2. But I've also found that I tend to make big nasty burrs with the WSKO and I like doing a final finishing step on the SharpMaker or other manual system. That insures that I really remove the burr properly, which is hard to do on a grinder. If I had a buffing wheel it would be different. Just with belts it's pretty tough to remove the burr correctly.
