Royal Caribbean Cruise lines

While not Royal Caribbean, we just returned from a 1 week cruise out of Miami on NCL. I had a large SAK Trekker in my checked baggage, no problem. Do not try it in your pocket or carry on.

Just go on the cruise and enjoy yourself. My wife and I have 20 cruises under our belt with a lot of them (and the most recent one) on R.C. Almost exclusively in the Caribbean. We have not encountered any dangers (except Costa Maya). Stay where the ship tells you to stay and you will be fine. As far as onboard, I have never seen anything dangerous happen.

Take a pair of Slip n snip scissors, and call it a day. I'd rather cruise under the radar, than hassle with security.

Looks like RCCL is super strict with knives. I’ve been on many Carnival cruises and always brought a knife in my checked bag. Printed out their rules from their website just in case they give me trouble onboard after the bags been x-ray’d. Never had them notice it. I usually carry a Kershaw Blur in S30v because I wouldn’t mind losing it compared to one of my many ZTs.

BTW don’t ever take a knife from the ship into a port.

I advise all of you to book your cruises by calling costco travel then ask if you can carry knives on the ship.... If you end up with me on the line I promise good knife related conversation while booking your cruise

I love royal caribbean but that policy is weak.
