Royals1982 sold me junk

Did Royals1982 have this knife listed as "new in the box", "mint condition". IF so could you possibly show us some pictures of what you received from him.

I don't know the guy but I have heard of him here on BF and I have never heard anything bad prior to this about him :confused:

When you say it looked as though it had been in the bottom of a tackle box could you tell us more details? Was it scratched up? What exact kind of damage did it have?

I would certainly not expect to have someone trade something "as new" that was in "bottom of the tackle box" condition.

I hope its a misunderstanding that gets handled quickly.

A little more detail would be helpful.His last post was in July and the last login was September 1st.Where/When was this sale and offer made,at what forum.I can't seem to find anything in my search for this transaction at bladeforums.In anycase,more details and pictures would be nice.
 
This is looking to me like nothing more than a cheap hatchet job. First of all we asked the guy who made these claims to give us more information and possibly a picture but he won't even talk to us :confused: . I personally would like to know the truth about this. I trade on this Forum quite a bit and like the rest of you it's always nice to know who the flakes are.

But 4 of us have asked "Clint" for more details and he won't even back up or elaborate on what he accused Royals1982 of. I also find it very suspicious that being the guy accused hasn't even been here doing any Forum activity since July and the guy accusing him has only been a token member since September>>> something just doesn't add up here :confused:

I make a motion that if "clint" here who made these allegations doesn't come forth with more rock solid facts that we ought to delete this thread. Hey Sir we are trying to give you the floor. We want to hear your side of the story. But you don't seem to want to back up your claims. I don't know either one of the gentlemen ( assuming that they are both guys). But I don't think anyone's name should be slandered without some facts to back it up with. :(

Uhmmmm... all these posts are the same day. Don't you think it might be a good idea to give "clint" a day or two to respond?

Yeah Guyon I guess you got a point :o But in this case where somebody is categorically being maligned and slandered I think the guy could have at least given us some evidence.

But OK I will back off and give him the benefit of the doubt :)

Yeah You're right>> not many people in society are as addicted to this hobby as we are :o

Wait a minute. You are pretty quick to retract everything.

Did he or did he not:

advertise something as "minty new in box" that looked as if it had "been in the bottom of the tacklebox for a year."

Was it supposed to be new, or was it a misunderstanding?
 
Clint, the purpose of GB&U is to serve as an archive of past deals, good and bad.

If Royals1982 in fact advertised the knife as new and then sent you a beater, then that fact needs to remain on here. However, that fact remains to be seen (literally).

You really shouldn't just "retract" your claim because Royals1982 is offering up the refund. You should qualify it by pointing out that Royals1982 remedied the situation, but at the same time, if this is how Royals1982 does business (in essence, bait and switch), then other people have the right to know.

I agree with the others here. If you're going to make this claim in the first place, you need to back it up with evidence. I'm sure that you know someone with a digital camera.

To everyone else: now, after seeing how Clint has responded to this situation, I'm having my doubts about him as well.
