Finally got Leah to accept a new dog. We got Boudreaux last night. He's a 7 week old boxer pup, and his parents are gorgeous!

What a great new friend you got there, Andy. Dogs are the best.

On an unrelated but related note, I saw a program on PBS the other night that postulates that the domestic dog was adapted from wolves within a human lifetime:eek: That's just wild but incredibly interesting:) For me, there is no more proof needed of a loving higher power than experiencing the love of a dog. Pure undying loyalty in the holiest form.
 
Make sure Boudreau doesn't "geaux" on the rug. :D

Nice dog. Be sure and get yourself a dog training book and vid and spend some time w/him everyday while he is young to set up the good relationship with him and you'll be rewarded many times over:thumbup:
 
I have a friend who has a boxer--great dog, named Lindey. Man, she is absolutely the most hyper dog I've ever met. Incredibly muscular, and just LOVES to run and play. But very nice, and very lovable. Good call, and good luck! I'm a dog man through and through. Few things rival just playing with a good dog, and seeing them get so excited. And nothing comes close for loyalty. A good dog is a friend for life.

Took new puppy pics last night. He's doing great. A few little mistakes inside, but seems to be getting the hang of potty training. Seems twice as big as he was when new already. Does 'boxer things' now too. Standing proud with his chest out! Batting the cat with his paws. Big mistake, that cat put him in his place real quick. (Mr. Pickles is 17 lbs of fierce kitty.)

He's a sweet little dog, and not hyper at all. I'm excited to see that chest bloom into a big wide beasty chest!
