Much improved..the first thing I noticed when I bought my RS6 was the saw cut way to much into the tip..basically making a brittle tip. That and the stainless is what finally made me decide not to keep it. I think that the stainless isnt really a huge problem, it is tough enough for hard use..I think that people sometimes take things to the extreme as far a standards go..I think about some of my scandi knives with birchwood handles and hidden tangs..they are cutting tools and they work just fine...I think the RS6 is a good functional design. The new ones made in Carbon Steel should be cool.
